Unattended Install vSphere vCenter Client and Plug-Ins

Filed under: VMware — joinvm @ 2:08 pm

Hi,

you can install vSphere vCenter Client silent using this commandline (for an english installation):

start /wait c:\VMware-viclient.exe /q /s /w /L1033 /v” /passive /norestart”

Afterwards you can copy the plugin-directories (f.e. from another client, where you have manually installed the client/plugins, or from the vcenter server’s directory) to your new client:

C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\Virtual Infrastructure Client\Plugins\Site Recovery Manager

C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\Virtual Infrastructure Client\Plugins\Update Manager 4.0 Update1

It also works for vCenter Client 2.5 same way.

This is it ;)

Greets, Chris
